Noticing his tendency to hit things, little Eric's parents bought him his first drum kit at the age of 13. His first baby steps on the long road to fame were as the force behind the school 20 piece band. After briefly flirting with "that damn electric twanger" during his misspent youth he finally saw the light and stuck with his true gift.....hitting things!

Seeking fame and fortune, "ERIC" joined the metal band "Black Ice" with whom he played and recorded. After the demise of the Ice, he played briefly in the power trio "Surreal" before joining Metalstorm. As the band grew and developed they went through a series of metamorphosis from Torrent to Kissmass and finally to Van Hagar. After adding a Bon Jovi set to the Van Halen set, Van Jovi (as Van Hagar became) played consistently throughout Sydney for several years.

When the guys decided to develop Hair Guitar, "ERIC" was of course the only choice to continue hitting things!!
